Disciplines and Domains

Civil Engineering

  1. Some of the labs requires the users to install the Pre-requisites. Click here to view Pre-requisites
  2. In order to derive maximum learning experience, the users are advised to first read the instructions for conductiong the labs. There are' step-by-step' instructuins available in each lab to assist the users.
  3. Some of the labs require the users to log in first. Eventually, there will be a common login for labs.
  4. Related NPTEL lectures are also available on the link given below.

*Basic Engineering Mechanics and Strength of Materials

This lab consists of different materials in tension, torsion, bending, and buckling etc.

*Hydraulics and Fluid Mechanics

The lab is equipped with different flow measuring set-ups such as venturimeter, orifice-plate, pitot tube, rotometer etc.

*Surveying Lab

This lab is to study of various parts of Auto Level and Carry out Fly Leveling using Auto Leve and Detail Plotting by Radiation Method.l

*Basic Structural Analysis

This laboratory gives the basic understanding of structural member under the action of loads. How structure's behaviour will be changed if there is any redundancy and how suddenly it becomes unstable will be experienced by student.

*Fluid Mechanics

This lab focuses on giving the user an idea about practical behaviour of such machines before performing operations on a real system

*Strength of Materials

Strength of material is the body of knowledge which deals with the relation between internal forces, deformations and external loads etc. This laboratory provides the basic knowledge of strength of materials and here, the students can perform different tests on different materials.

*Traffic Engineering Laboratory

A virtual laboratory is a tool for distance learning and/or experimentation that allows people to share knowledge, data, voice, video, tools, and many other resources. It provides a suitable environment to extend, improve, integrate, refine, and assist the learning and/or experimentation process of many subjects, thus contributing to an increase of the effectiveness of scientific research and widening the use of scarce or costly equipments.

Soil Mechanics Lab

This lab consists different laboratory for conducting the following important experiments to estimate the mechanical and engineering properties of soils.

Geotechnical Engineering

This lab is to carry out all soil mechanics fundamental experiments according to standards and to analyze and interpret experimental data.

Soft Computing Tools in Engineering

The main objective of the proposed virtual lab is to introduce students about the latest Computational Intelligence Tools (also known as soft computing tools)

Urban Transportation Systems Planning Lab

This lab includes experiments in Volume, Speed and Delay Study at Intersection, Regression Analysis,Category Analysis and Growth Factor Distribution Modelis.
